Bradley Brockies - Para World Champion and keen Aerobility flier!
Bradley is 14 years old and on the Autistic Spectrum. He attends small specialist school in Kent and is currently in Year 10.
Bradley has two passions…… Taekwondo and all things aviation.
Bradley has been studying Taekwondo since December 2012, and recently passed his latest grading to become a 2nd Dan black belt. He has been on the British Taekwondo National squad since he first competed back in March 2015, where he won his first Gold medal. Bradley has gone on to compete in many competitions, his biggest achievements so far are representing Great Britain at the World Para Taekwondo Championships and also at the European Para Taekwondo Championships, bringing home Gold each time. Bradley currently holds the titles World Champion, European Champion, British International Champion, British National Champion, Scottish National Champion and Irish National Champion in his Junior P20 category.
Bradleys love of aviation started after going to the Eastbourne Airshow “Airbourne” in 2009. He has moved on since just watching planes to now photographing them and flying them. He has an instagram account to showcase his aviation photos (@london_aviation105) where he has 1362 followers. He photographs commercial, general and military aviation.
He had his first taster flight on 6th August 2016 from Headcorn, aged 12. Little did we know where that would lead. After a couple more taster flights as birthday presents Bradley decided this was what he wanted to do…….fly! We became aware of Aerobility in August 2018 after an interview over the tannoy at the Festival of Flight, Biggin Hill. I emailed straight away for more details and booked Bradley in for a flight as soon as possible. He had his first flight with Aerobility on 8th September with Steve Bradd and the rest is history. Bradley is now having a flying lesson a month, and he absolutely loves it!
Bradleys goal is to work in the aviation industry when he finishes school ultimately as a pilot, Aerobility are helping him on his way to achieving this!
