Please welcome our new WIS Military Engagement and Activities Manager - Werner Stroud

Werner is the WIS Military Engagement and Activities Manager at Aerobility.  He has spent most of his life working in the military (Army) but does also have some commercial experience, latterly as the General Manager at Lasham Gliding Society.

He has seen active service in most of the operational theatres during his career and also spent a year on Loan Service in Sierra Leone.  During various points in his career, Werner has been involved at a high level with the military casualty reporting system and also has extensive experience across the civilian and military charity sectors.

‘’I hope that working within Aerobility I can still give back to those servicemen and women who are on their rehabilitation journeys; it’s what you can do and NOT want you can’t do!  I hope that I can also make a difference to a wider audience of people with a disability who wish to get airborne.”

He is a keen glider pilot, holds a NPPL and is also involved with the management of the British Gliding Team.   At Aerobility, the things he is most looking forward to is meeting people every day, both veterans and those new to flying.
