Brian is a senior manager at NATS, where he is responsible for the day to day running of the Air Traffic Control Operation. He has spent 27 years in the aviation industry, gaining a wealth of skills and experiences both in the military and commercial ATC environments.
Brian joined the RAF as an Air Traffic Controller in 1992, where he spent 8 years as a controller and latterly an instructor at the college of Air Traffic Control. He left the RAF in 2000 and joined NATS where he has held a number of management positions.
Brian suffered a life changing injury in May 2018 which paralysed him from the waist down. Having been told he might never walk again, he continues to prove the experts wrong.
Away from work, he likes to keep himself fit and active, enjoys fine food and wine and can regularly be found watching Southampton Football Club, a passion which has seen him adapt to a lifetime of misery!
