Photo Contest Terms, Conditions and Rules A panel of judges Chaired by Andy Rouse & Mike Miller-Smith will select 12 winning photos that will appear in the 2017 Aerobility Calendar. All selected photos will be credited to the photographer and all images submitted may be used in additional publicity material for Aerobility with credit being given as appropriate. By entering, the entrant agrees to abide by the rules of the competition.


  1. The contest is open to any photographer, amateur or professional of any nationality.
  2. Aerobility shall have the right to publish any photo submitted for the contest in any print, online, digital or electronic publication or app in support of Aerobility activities and promotion of the charity.
  3. Photos: Photos must be submitted in JPG format and be suitable for high-quality printing (300dpi preferred). JPG submissions and captions must be uploaded to the Aerobility website at www.aerobility.com/photocompetition. Each image submitted must have a caption that provides a full description of the subject and event, including the airshow or venue where it was shot.
  4. Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated. Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter, clearer etc, but not manipulate the content. The judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been excessively treated so as to alter its authenticity.
  5. Entrance Fees and Entry Submissions: £3.00 per photo entry with a maximum of 25 per entry. Payment will be by directly via the website.
  6. By entering the contest the entrant agrees to release Aerobility from any and all liability in the event that any entry is lost or damaged. Aerobility shall have no responsibility or liability in the event any contest entries or image files are lost or destroyed.
  7. Deadline: Entries must be uploaded to the website by midnight local time on 30th September 2016. The photo contest administrator may decide to extend the deadline.
  8. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. By entering the competition, entrants warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
  9. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the competition, each entrant grants a license to Aerobility to feature any or all of the submitted images in their publications, their websites and/or in any advertising, promotional or publicity material related to the promotion of Aerobility.
  10. Judging & Prizes: Photos will be judged by a panel of professionals in aerospace and photography and from Aerobility. Winning photographs will be selected purely on the basis of skill and visual impact. The decision of the judges is final. Prizes are not substitutable for any other item by winners and may not be transferred or assigned. Aerobility reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value for any prize, for any reason. Where prizes include visits or other date / time specific arrangements it may not be possible to change these arrangements and whilst every effort will be made to accommodate prize-winners no guarantee can be made of achieving suitable dates. No other prizes or cash alternative will be offered as a substitute prize. Note that visitors to the Heathrow ATC tower need to be 18 years of age or older.
  11. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion arrangements and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
